Wearing and using your best colours can instantly make you look brighter, younger and vibrant. Complementing your best colours with the perfectly matching foundation, blush, eye shadow and lipstick greatly enhances your complexion. Knowing your colours takes hesitation and ‘guessing’ out of your shopping and empowers you to bloom into the best and the most natural version of yourself.

The Korean method has a more detailed way of categorising skin tone, undertone, eye colour, hair colour and contrast level. This allows for a more tailored analysis for each individual, even those who didn’t quite ‘fit’ the criteria of a season in the Western methods.
Studio Peona uses the Korean KCI method as its foundation however over the past two years, we were able to continuously improve the method in our own way to fit the diverse skin tones of Australians.
Using our method, we are able to analyse any light or dark skin tones, mixed ethnicities and even skin tones with skin conditions.

No, you only need to get your colours done once. However, with age, some people experience a significant change in their skin tone. Some experience an increase in pigmentation in their skin whereas others lose pigments from their skin.
You could benefit from a quick re-analysis in your 50s or 60s. -
When you tan or become paler, the saturation level of your skin slightly changes.
This does not affect your undertone (warm vs cool).
However, depending on the intensity of the tan, you may move to a different sub-season within your season.
For example, a soft autumn may also be able to wear deep autumn colours when they are at their darkest.
This varies greatly depending on the individual so please consult with your analyst on the day of your appointment. -
We assess your natural hair colour, eye colour and skin tone as the first step of your analysis. Please try not to have any fake tan left on your skin as this may affect the result of your colour analysis. For hair, ideally we’d like to see at least 5 cm of your roots but this does not affect the result of your colour analysis so no need to worry.
